Road Trip 2012: Shenandoah National Park

Once your off the Skyline Drive that's where the true awesomeness of Shenandoah National Park shows it's face. Jonathan and I hiked a few trails in the park, nothing long or major but it was nice to spend the day in nature. The best trail was Bearfence trail. The trail head gave us warnings of a "rock scramble" and we weren't exactly sure what rock scrambling was but we were excited to find out. It was climbing, hiking and balancing on rocks and cliffs to get to the visa point. I finally got to use some of my amateur rock climbing skills in for real nature. There is something crazy thrilling about standing on top of a rock, on top of a mountain and seeing beautiful sky views in every direction. Of course the pictures don't do the view or my excitement justice.
